Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Enterprise Technology Strategy service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

* The team lead will be responsible for leading day to day activities on a mid-size, cross functional team.
* The team lead will utilize their strong technical background to decompose user stories into manageable tasks, use their organizational skills to manage team activities on a daily basis, use their engineering skills to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and use their communication skills to raise risks/issues.
* Manage development team day-to-day activities, including participating in daily standups
* Mentor developers / tests
* Ensure high quality software compliant with team processes
* Perform code inspections
* Track risks/issues/blockers
* Identify opportunities to improve team performance
* Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
* Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
* Strong development background (5 years)
* Experience leading teams as either a team lead, architect, or development manager (3 years)
* Background in configuration management / source control management using GIT
* Solid background in Agile
* Understanding of continuous integration (CI) and automation
* Development background using relational databases, such as MS-SQL / Oracle

Bonus experience criteria:

* Background in data warehousing
* ETL using SSIS or Data Factory
* Strong background developing in MS-SQL
* C#/.Net development
* SharePoint development
* Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
* Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
* U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
* Travel may be required.
* Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
* Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
* Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
* Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
* Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
