Job Description:

The Database Systems Administrator III (Cache) provides advanced technical skill and expertise in the management of enterprise database systems. Plans database definition, structure, documentation, operational guidelines and protection elements, and establishes security and integrity controls as well as database policies, procedures and standards against long-term requirements. Plans, prioritizes and manages highly complex projects, service requests, and routine assignments.Provides ITS solutions and services which ultimately contribute to patient safety and care.

Education:

* Bachelors Computer Science Required or
* Bachelors Information Technology - Computer/Information Science Required or
* Bachelors Engineering Required or
* Bachelors Mathematics Required or
* Bachelors Related Field Required or
* Experience or alternative degree may be considered in lieu of required education

Experience:

* Minimum of 8 years experience in complex corporate systems environment with a wide variety of information management systems, databases, networks and technologies.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in system management engineering, design, implementation and support of large scale enterprise environment, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in database management in Epic Cache required.
* Demonstrated experience leading complex technical projects.

Certifications/Licensures:

* Two or more of the following trainings / certifications required in
* Epic Operation Database Administrator (Cache) Required or
* RHCSA Required or
* Epic Chronicles Database Programmer Required or
* Cache/M Programming equivalent Required or
* Epic Interconnect Programmer Required or
* Oracle or MS SQL Server Required

Skills:

* Advanced technical knowledge of enterprise network environments to include:--> Advanced knowledge of UNIX based operating systems (Linux preferred), network attached/direct attached storage systems, mid-range hardware platforms, scripting languages (Shell, Perl), system design and configuration.--> Experience with mid-range platform virtualization technologies.--> Advanced knowledge of high availability systems solutions to include cluster configuration, data replication technologies, failover configurations, backup technologies and IT systems business continuity solutions.--> Advanced knowledge of Storage Area Network and other third party storage arrays from specific detail about components and software to an overall view of the requirements for storage across the enterprise. Ability to provide capacity planning forecasts for storage and systems component resource planning.--> Advanced knowledge of network protocols and routing, network, server, and host operating systems; IP networking.--> Advanced experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, maintaining mid-range platforms the specific hardware and software enterprise systems and equipment used by JMH preferred.--> Advanced ability to program in Cache/M.
