Position Description:

Data Science Manager. Medtronic, Inc. Northridge, CA. Lead team of data scientists and data engineers to build and develop data driven products with prediction and forecasting capabilities. Generate machine learning and statistical modelling algorithms through Python, TensorFlow and Java using large scale diabetes related datasets. Build intelligent personal assistant systems using technologies such as Natural Language Processing and Knowledge graphs. Enable research workbench for the team to run deep learning algorithms such as Deep Neural Networks, reinforcement and one-shot learning. Productionize developed algorithms through docker and modular environment such as API and microservices. Support business intelligence and analytics pipeline prioritization and better strategic decision for business leadership including inventory and attrition prediction. Build data infrastructure and analytical environments using Hadoop, Mongo DB and HIVE to interact with big scale datasets. Navigate the complexities of providing medical data analytics in a regulated medical device environment to include FDA regulations including (ISO) 13485. Understand and navigate health economics and reimbursement datasets

Basic Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field and 2 years of experience in data mining. Must possess a minimum of 2 years with each of the following: Machine learning and statistical modelling for production systems using Python and Java; Artificial Intelligence with Natural Language Processing; Machine learning algorithms including neural networks, reinforcement learning and one-shot learning; Deployment of machine learning algorithms through docker and microservices; Business intelligence and analytics including inventory and attrition prediction; Analytics on big scale database using tools to include Hadoop, Mongo DB and HIVE; Working in medical device environment including FDA regulations and (ISO) 13485; and Analytics of Health economics and reimbursement data
