National Grid IT Solutions Delivery team is seeking an experienced Data & Integration Engineer to be part of middleware platform team who are responsible for Integration services for the CRM platform.

Key Accountabilities

* Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer system application software.
* Perform activities ranging from software design, operating architecture integration, and selection of computer systems.
* Apply knowledge of one or more technologies, and of one or more platforms and programming languages.
* Apply integration and customized development expertise in industry-standard programming languages to convert functional and technical requirements into business solutions.
* Create system design work products including conceptual designs and logical technical designs.
* Perform project tasks following National Grid-approved software development lifecycle model.
* Support the transformation of the relevant operational model on a wide-scale by leading software engineers to meet client and business needs.

Integration Skills & Experience Required

* 4+ years of experience with implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise application integration (EAI) using technologies like Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, webMethods, or TIBCO etc.
* Must have programming experience in Java Script, JAVA programming experience is a plus.
* Good understanding and working knowledge on API/web service security and data security practices and methods.
* Able to develop and implement integration solutions coordinating applications across the enterprise or business groups.
* Experience in building architecture, design solutions for high volume transactional orders.
* Designs and develops using EAI/B2B solution on B2B tools and J2EE concepts.
* Designs and develops ESB/SOA/BPM middleware layers using tools like Mulesoft, ServiceMix, webMethods, TIBCO and J2EE concepts
* Documents design specifications troubleshoots and testing.
* Actively involved with requirement understanding and analysis.
* Work closely with functional leads/PMs to understand the partner integration requirements.
* Suggests innovative solutions to business problems/ processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, performance improvements, and better user experiences.
* Interacts well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team in order to accomplish the business goal.
* Knowledge and/or hands on experience on integration tools like Mulesoft, Dell Boomi preferred.
* Proficient in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Solid hands-on experience in architecting and developing J2EE based web applications (JSP, Servlet, JDBC, JMS, JAXB)
* Strong experience in XML, XSD, XSLT, SOAP/REST and web services

Data Migration Experience Required

Analyze source data/file structures, technical metadata, profile source data and develop data mapping and transformation rules and detail ETL specifications based on business requirements;

* Assist in the collection of technical metadata supporting the implementation;
* Utilize automation tools to schedule, execute, and monitor ETL jobs;
* Design, test, and debug data flow plans to create necessary Client files and/or populated databases;
* Design of the ETL application;
* Performance tune the application to meet operational production requirements;
* Develop and execute, in conjunction with the ETL Architect, Quality and Release, and Process Analyst system and integration test plans;
* Design and develop multiple reports including audit, error and reconciliation reports.
* Candidate must have understanding of ETL Processes and Best Practices
* Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with DataStage Enterprise Edition/Parallel Extender (Orchestrate) for parallel processing as part of ETL conversion process integrating multiple source

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent knowledge of the energy industry and electrical engineering principles not necessary, but greatly preferred
* 5-10 years of professional experience demonstrating responsibility for developing solutions in support of large scale software development projects
* Experience delivering large scale projects, including development of technical requirements, testing and integration plans through both Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies
