Data Information Systems Engineer

The Data IS Engineer is responsible for ITSM tooling administration, maintenance and workflow development. Between ITSM projects and responsibilities, as part of a DevOps focused team, this role may participate in user acceptance testing, maintaining site reliability in a production environment, remediation automation, or defining and maintaining monitoring and automated alerting.

The ideal candidate for this Data IS Engineer role should be a good communicator, capable of self-starting, and should feel comfortable learning new technologies. Candidates should be familiar with developing and managing a large set of support systems and will be responsible for delivering project-oriented tasks, which directly improve the daily functions within the support team.

This position is located in the OVH US Dallas, TX office. This is not a remote position. Relocation assistance is not available.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for ServiceNow development including integrating production monitoring systems with the platform and two-way ticket/case integrations with other internal Ticketing Systems
* Develop and administer monitoring tools for the OVHcloud platform
* Assist in managing corporate IT systems required to provide IT services to OVH US corporate employees
* Interface with all levels of management to provide updates on OSS team initiatives and issues
* Design, develop, and implement processes, systems, and technology to support and enhance the OSS support function

Required Skills and Background

* 3 years of on-the-job experience is required.
* BA or BS degree in an IS or related field preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in an Engineering role is preferred.
* Familiarity with administrating, maintaining and troubleshooting ITSM applications. Experience with ServiceNow, Zendesk or similar competitors desirable.
* Experience in writing/maintaining JavaScript preferred.
* Familiarity with integrating disparate systems (i.e., implementing workflows that integrate across systems via REST API calls).
* Some experience in Linux/Unix Administration, or Linux system familiarity.
* Some experience or exposure to operations support, and remediation.
* Basic fundamental networking, and storage knowledge.
* Basic fundamental knowledge of Virtualization and Containerization technology.
* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
