Forcepoint is building out a new world class behavioral analytics engineering team in Boston. The Boston team will be an important part of not only the global analytics engineering team but also the Cyber Experience Center. This team is responsible for ingesting, processing, storing, and analyzing cybersecurity data. In this role you will work with other developers, data engineers, and data scientists to continue the development of our flagship analytics product within AWS. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced professionals within an innovative space. This position will require you to develop everything from prototype systems to fully mature test-driven production quality code. This is an exciting and fun role where creative contribution and design initiative are welcome and given dedicated time for you to pursue. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for technology, be open minded and have strong technical skills to help solve and troubleshoot large scale deployments. In addition, you should also have good organizational skills as well as good written and verbal communication skills, working well with others across group and department boundaries.

Responsibilities:

* Design data pipelines involving data cleaning, transformation, streaming enrichment / analytics and normalization
* Design, build, and maintain data movement solutions such as APIs, pub/sub queues, and caches
* Supporting and developing data science solutions that serve ML solutions at-scale
* Design and implement features in the streaming analytics pipeline to suit evolving analytic strategies
* Participates in detailed design activities by analyzing requirements and high-level designs
* Develop prototype versions of cloud services and applications
* Design, document and create unit tests for production level code
* Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and execution
* Interface and work well with other engineering groups as part of day to day activities
* Solves production issues that need reproduction, root cause analysis, and coding

Skills & Qualifications

Must have:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or an additional 2+ years direct experience.
* 1+ year's public cloud based software development experience.
* Data storage experience across technologies such as RDBMS, Key/Value Stores and NoSQL
* Professional experience utilizing SAS.
* Experience working with, designing, and implementing data pipelines
* Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Python
* Prior experience working in a commercial development environment: best practices for development, agile, schedules, processes, defect management, code management & continuous integration environments & formal quality practices
* Experience designing and building data movement and storage solutions at-scale
* Innovative drive to investigate and assess new technologies with minimal learning curves
* An ability to work successfully across team and geographical boundaries to deliver joint initiatives

Nice to have:

* Knowledge and development experience in AWS, Azure or other Public Cloud providers
* Experience automating Public Cloud deployments using both IaaS and PaaS capabilities
* Cybersecurity knowledge or experience
* Prior experience in a Scrum/Agile test driven development environment
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
* Demonstrated experience developing and using RESTful API interfaces
* Experience working with graph-based systems
* Knowledge of large enterprise networking environments
* Experience working with large enterprise customers
* Experience working in Java environments with technologies such as Containers, Servlets, Spring
* Understanding of security concepts: encryption, secure application development, defensive programming, software vulnerabilities and exploits, general issues in web security
* Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery development methods
