Job Description

AWS Marketplace is looking for an experienced data engineer to help support our senior management team. As AWS Marketplace continues to scale our business, we are looking for an individual who can help improve the quality and accelerate the speed of our decision making.

A successful candidate will be able to build and maintain the core infrastructure underpinning our data warehouse, with extensive prior experience with Redshift or similar technologies. This engineer works on a team alongside Business Intelligence Engineers to identify opportunities and diagnose blockers in our business performance using our metrics reporting. Using historical data, they should also be able to guide our future investments using mathematical and statistical modeling to produce business forecasts.

You should be comfortable with database technologies, including SQL, Redshift, ETL tools, and their use to design, develop, and evaluate data warehouses, business intelligence tools, and automated reports for supporting a growing business. We expect you to transform complicated business problems to support data driven decision making. To help our business scale you should be able to establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.
