Data Developer

The Data Developer will play a key role in the development, support and testing phases of Asurion's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Primary duties are to Develop and Support of all ServiceBench Service Intelligence ETL applications. This includes development in SQL Server, Informatica, MicroStrategy. Daily activities include a broad mix of building ETL Packages in SSIS, Informatica, SQL code, MicroStrategy configuration and Web applications. Additional activities include ad hoc data analysis, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and interacting with business and technical partners.

What You'll Do:

* Work with Technical leads to Design and Develop new or enhanced ETL streams using Sql Server Integration Services (SSIS)
* Develop new ETL mappings using Informatica Power Center version 10.x or Intelligent Informatica Cloud Services
* Understanding Data model and creating SSIS/Informatica Packages, Stored procs etc.
* Working on Datawarehouse DataMart development
* Tuning and Optimizing Queries and Indexes
* Code delivery as per ETL development standards
* Monitor production jobs when required and working as per Service commitments
* Analyzing the root cause for production issues
* Work with team to troubleshoot and performance tune applications
* Configuring MicroStrategy Schema objects

What You Bring to the Team:

* 2 (4 preferred) years overall database software development/ data warehouse experience
* 2 (3 preferred) years hands on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica Power Center or SSIS
* 1 years hands on experience with any reporting tools (MicroStrategy, Power BI or similar) is a plus
* Strong Datawarehouse knowledge
* Proficiency with RDBMS systems (Oracle, SQL Server) SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX Shell scripting, and database optimizations
* Minimum hands on experience in web application development in java, C#, or similar is a plus
* Experience in working in MPP platform databases is a plus (Vertica, ParAccel, Netezza, RedShift)
* Database/SQL performance tuning skills a plus
* Strong communication skills and able to work well in a team setting
* Must be self-motivating and able to work in a rapidly changing environment
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
