Job Description

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and motivated technical professional to join our team as a Systems Engineer. Our SE's are responsible for creating and delivering technology solutions for our clients. This includes the design, configuration, installation, integration and troubleshooting of network, desktop and server solutions. This position involves customer interaction and requires strong organizational, communication, and client relationship skills.

The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years' experience with a technology vendor or systems integrator selling, designing, and implementing Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 solutions with a focus on and hands-on experience with administration of Active Directory, Exchange and Office 365. The ideal candidate should also have experience in designing and deploying data center virtualization technologies and storage solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Center Systems Engineer

* Serve as a "hands on" post-sales implementation engineer implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 with extensive experience with Microsoft products: Windows 7/8/8.1/10, Office, IIS, SQL Server.
* Thorough understanding of technical concepts across a range of technologies including Desktop software, Internet Browser software, Microsoft BackOffice applications, LAN, WAN and communication networks.
* Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Microsoft networking, server issues
* Solid understanding of design, deployment, and performance considerations as it relates to datacenter virtualization and storage solutions.
* Serve as a primary technical resource on implementation projects to ensure successful project delivery. Some projects will require the candidate to take on a leadership role over a team.
* Strong organizational skills, superior attention to detail and quality awareness, and professional demeanor
* Accurately understanding and documenting client environment for pre and post project designs
* Achieving and maintaining industry standard certifications aligned with Custom's core competencies as directed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the Systems Engineer include but are not limited to:

* 5-6 years experience delivering technical solutions and/or support to external clients
* Microsoft MCSE certification
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server including administration and configuration of Active Directory and Exchange.
* Strong knowledge and hands on experience in Exchange upgrades and migrations
* Thorough understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, Global Catalogs, Directory Replication and security for design and deployment in various customer environments.
* Strong knowledge and hands on experience in upgrading and/or migrating Active Directory
* Experience with creating and modifying Group Policies
* Exchange and AD database troubleshooting
* Proficiency with on-premises Microsoft Enterprise services (including Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange, SQL)
* Familiarity with Windows client security solutions including Bitlocker disk encryption, Encrypted File System (EFS),
* Proficiency with cloud-based Microsoft Enterprise services (including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune and Office 365)
* Familiarity with one or more Cloud services providers, such as AWS and Azure.
* Experience with data center virtualization and storage solutions. Specific experience with VMware a plus.
* Ability to listen, receive and manage constructive feedback and take proactive action to develop and learn from experiences.
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Hands on experience required
