Job Description

Summary and Scope

The Data Architect will be responsible for the enablement of Chubb's data architecture frameworks, reference models and capabilities, their adoption for an effective design and development of solutions across the enterprise and their integration into targeted business ecosystems.

Responsibilities

* Develop flexible, adaptable, modular and reusable solution architecture designs in collaboration with product delivery and operational support teams
* Develop solutions and roadmaps on application transformation and modernisation
* Support evolution of data architecture reference models and facilitate their enablement and adoption within the enterprise
* Support and maintain multiple dimensions of data architecture including data quality, reference data and master data management
* implement appropriate data architecture governance processes and tools while maintaining a key focus on design patterns and technology standards
* Maintain a repository of data architecture assets and coordinate effective reuse across the enterprise
* Act as an enabler of Agile and DevOps practices in collaboration with product delivery and operation support teams
* Explore, evaluate and promote technology innovation within the enterprise

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Bachelor's Degree
* Extensive knowledge and experience of data architectures, from blueprint to solution design and implementation
* Experience in creation of patterns, framework and solution skeletons.
* Experience in development of architecture methodologies and standards
* Experience in application modularization and modernization including adoption of Micro Service Architecture models
* Understanding on modern data architecture and patterns like graph DB and Document DB
* Experience in Integration Architectures from Service Bus to API Mediation and Event Bus models
* Experience in Information Security and Risk Management
* Experience in cloud solution design and implementation of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and hybrid models
* Hands on experience on Cloud technologies like Azure PaaS
* Experience in modern Database technologies and analytics including ML, AI.
* Knowledge of social and ecosystem open and dark data
* Experience in data modelling and data warehouse design and architecture
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to interact effectively with internal and external individuals.
