Job Description

The Data and Applications Analyst will be part of a team that is engaged in efforts to design, develop, implement and support applications and datasets across the enterprise. The candidate must have business level technical and analytical skills, project management experience, and the ability to move projects forward. The Data and Applications Analyst will assist in working with departments across the enterprise to find solutions for workflow inefficiencies with an emphasis on user experience. The candidate must have excellent communication and problem solving skills as well as being highly adaptable and a fast learner.

Responsibilities Include:

* Work with departments across the enterprise to identify inefficiencies.
* Research, comprehend, and document existing workflows.
* Work with team to propose automated solutions that fit into the overall strategy of the Data and Applications group.
* Translate business needs into technical requirements.
* Work with team to implement solutions.
* Test applications and oversee user testing.
* Document all aspects of a project in Smartsheet.
* Act as a go between for the business and the developers.
* Build relationships and provide excellent customer service to internal and external business partners.
* Ensure adoption of the various tools.
* Create relevant reports in Tableau.
* Ad hoc work as required

Qualifications and Experience:

* A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
* Property and casualty industry experience preferred.
* Basic SQL knowledge required.
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Business Intelligence design and development, preferably using Tableau
* Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
* Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
* Able to manage multiple, parallel projects.
* Ability to work with diverse groups with varying levels of ability and skills. Must be able to speak to a technically diverse audience.
