Overview

KeyW is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst in Vienna, VA with a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

The Cyber Security Analyst will:

* Implement, maintain and operate information system security controls and countermeasures
* Participate in Cyber Security Incident Response
* Analyze trends, news, and changes in the threat compliance environment with respect to organizational risk
* Understand and report network triggered security events with boundary & internal security support devices and report findings to leadership
* Develop and execute plans for compliance and mitigation of risk following the NIST RMF
* Perform security impact analysis on proposed or actual changes to enterprise information systems
* Assess selected RMF security controls based on defined continuous monitoring strategies
* Apply risk management to Federal Information Systems
* Support the sustainment of the NIST Cyber Security Framework across all approved systems and operational environments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must understand the NIST RMF process and requirements
* Must meet DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications IAT/IAM level III requirements
* CISSP (required or must be obtained between 6 months of employment)

Preferred Skills:

* Experience with information systems, networks, and or/application security
* Technical knowledge in Cyber security engineering, systems and network security, authentication and security protocols, and cryptography
* General technical knowledge of internetworking devices and network services
* Good understanding of root causes of malware infections and proactive mitigation
* Good understanding of data exfiltration techniques
* Good organizational, problem-solving, written and communication skills
* Knowledge of network/host based intrusion analysis, malware analysis, forensics and cyber threat intel
* Ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts and apply that knowledge effectively
* Ability to work directly with Cyber security teams to gather functional requirements and develop solutions which meet or exceed requirements, and support the system
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Network vulnerability scanning tool usage is an advantage
* 2-3 years of experience with Splunk (desired, but not required)

Desired Certifications (One or more):

* MCSE/MCSA
* Linux+ (RHCA/LPIC)
* Splunk Fundamentals I
* CEH
* CCNA (CCNP accepted)
* GIAC Certs

Education and Years of Experience:

* Bachelors of Science in a technical or mathematics field (will substitute 4 or more years' experience)
* Masters of Science in a technical or mathematics field (will substitute 6 or more years' experience)
* 4 years or more of IT Security Services and support
* 4 years or more of experience with network services technologies (servers/clients/AD/storage/virtual environment) and security tools.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires a Top Secret security clearance.
