Job Description

Provides static/less dynamic programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of building control and facility management systems. Troubleshoots system problems. Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

What You Will Do

* Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
* Install, configure, test and maintain application software and system management tools
* Ensure systems' security and infrastructure availability
* Provide plant-wide IT and networking support
* Design, code, test, and debug application and operating software
* Assist with the design and development of engineered solutions in the application or infrastructure space
* Work with Windows based systems
* Report to the Engineering Manager at Johnson Controls Florence, KY location
* Build and configure hardware

How You Will Do It

* Work closely with engineering team, as well as production and administrative staff
* Manage multiple projects at one time
* Work in a manufacturing environment with manufacturing equipment
* Practice good organizational skills, as well as time management skills
* Use strong communication skills - you would be working with several departments within the facility

What We Look For

* Bachelor's Degree in a technology related field required
* 3+ years of relevant experience
* Cisco certifications a plus

Preferred

* Proficient in Visual Basic, .NET framework, Html, and C++ Coding languages
* Experience in handling industrial networks in a manufacturing environment
* Ability and experience with troubleshooting network issues and making improvements
* Experience with SAP and MES platforms
* Experience coordinating with cross functional teams and working on software products for improving Quality and Rate of Production
* JavaScript programming skills a plus
* Familiarity with SCADA data system would be a plus
* Experience managing servers would be a plus
