Overview

The CSE Proof of Concept (POC) team supports pre-sales lab activities by providing services for Systems Engineers (SEs) to perform testing, deliver demos and respond to their customers' technical queries. The Corporate SE - POC position stages and facilitates Proof of Concept tests for customers, assists in Reference Test Plan development, builds and presents demonstrations of Juniper solutions, and develops specialized technical expertise to assist SEs with pre-sales activities.

Responsibilities

* Test, implement and deliver customer-defined POC projects by assisting Systems Engineers with development and staging of test plans, configuration of Juniper products and test tools, executing tests, and managing other technical aspects of projects.
* Collaborate with SEs and other Technical Specialists to develop and maintain solution demonstrations and Reference POCs for cutting-edge Juniper technologies that validate key attributes and showcase Juniper solutions in the best light.
* Build testing ecosystems using Juniper products, simulation tools, and 3rd party networking and computing equipment.
* Work with a wide range of technologies in routing, switching, security, virtualization, SDN and cloud.
* Enable faster time to revenue by taking on much of the work that SEs across all verticals currently perform, allowing for faster completion time of POCs and a broader offering of pre-configured solution demonstrations.
* Combine the communications skills to build strong professional relationships with the technical skills to develop and define compelling network solutions that make a meaningful difference to our customers.
* Demonstrate a systematic approach to solving technical problems.
* Pursue technical, professional and leadership development through self-study and formal training.

Qualifications

* Hands-on experience with Juniper products and solutions or equivalent
* At least a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecom or equivalent
* Industry Certifications including JNCIS or equivalent are desirable
* Must be able to able to work independently as well as part of a team
* Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
* Dedication to learn and build solutions that fit customer needs

Required Skills

* Networking and routing knowledge in TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP
* Fundamental Switching and Security concept knowledge
* Experience with server virtualization technologies: vSphere ESXi, KVM, for example.

Desired Skills

* Experience with Ixia/Keysight and/or Spirent network testing tools
* Experience with programming and automation, including proficiency in Python, Ansible, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
