DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

* This position involves working in a small team focused on design and development of a secure computing architecture.
* Much of the initial work will be focused on leveraging the virtio driver standard in an architecture featuring a type-1 hypervisor.
* The scope of work includes clean sheet software design and implementations, well beyond simply integrating existing open source components.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

* Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
* Proficiency and professional experience with the following:
* Basic PCI/PCIe architecture,
* C/C software development,
* Data structures and algorithms,
* Multithreaded software development,
* Basic OS concepts such as system calls, processes, IPC,
* Device drivers, both lower level and higher level,
* Computer architecture concepts such as memory hierarchy, DMA, SMP,
* OS virtualization concepts incluing VIRTIO driver model
