Associate Manager, Editorial Content Operations 746737
The content team is seeking an tactical, creative, deadline-oriented editorial operations associate manager who will help faciliate our goal of increasing company loyalty and listenership by bringing an intelligent, human voice to the customer experience.
The successful candidate will be the engine that drives our steady cadence of customer-facing content campaigns, including newsletters, homepage features, and themed collections. The role supports editorial launches, and leverages the right partner support when needed. It requires a highly creative and editorial mind alongside a sound business sense, a love of data, powerful attention to detail, and an ability to work quickly under pressure. The ideal Associate Manager of Editorial Content Operations possesses strong writing skills, obsession with grammar, and a knack for getting things done in close collaboration with colleagues.
Responsibilities Include:
* Tracking projects and enforcing deadlines in support of the Editorial calendar
* Launching weekly editorial email campaigns
* Building landing pages, article pages, and newsletters using our unique CMS
* Writing editorial copy in support of our content
* Immersion in company original content for the support of content campaigns
* Curating content for monthly and seasonal collections
* Liasing with partners in email marketing, content development, and metadata
* Communicating and facilitating editorial feature launches
Basic Qualifications
* Previous experience with content management and publishing systems
* Ability to quickly produce clean, clear editorial copy, and edit copy as needed
* Basic HTML skills and a general understanding of online content development
* A love of audiobooks and spoken word content; experience writing about or reviewing this type of content a plus
* Interest in news content and an inclination to follow trending topics
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in online content work
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; an obsessive editing eye
* High level of proficiency with project management systems and tools
* Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field of study
Preferred Qualifications
* Passion for pop culture and current events, with a strong editorial sense
* Background in media or publishing
