Zivaro is currently seeking a Professional Services Consulting Engineer for its rapidly growing, Splunk-based data Insight practice. This position will work with pre-sales engineering to help scope client's eventual professional services engagements as well as do the delivery of the Splunk services for Zivaro's Insight/Big Data & Analytics Practice (BD&A)

You will help scope deployment projects in collaboration with sales teams and manage onsite project delivery while maintaining clear and detailed communication with sales, practice and project management leadership and the customer team. You will also leverage your broad business and technical experience to contribute solutions you develop in the field to Splunk product documentation, customer demos and Splunk Base. In addition, the Insight/BD&A practice is seeking a Consulting Engineer with a strong and demonstrable background in security to help augment and complement the existing Zivaro PS team.

Responsibilities

Previous Splunk software experience is highly desired, and required

Minimum Requirements: I've already done that!

* 5-10 years' experience in technical services and support roles for enterprise IT software, enterprise systems, or enterprise networks
* 3-5 Years in Splunk experience in Single Sign On (SSO), AD/LDAP, DNS, SAML and SIEM
* A broad background in Splunk, security and technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage
* Current experience working with Linux/UNIX and Windows Operating Systems
* Travel required: up to 75% throughout United States and spending weeks near clients (minus weekends)
* 3+ Years' experience with technical and business consulting
* Experience with business strategy, improving processes and making recommendations in business processes for operational processes metrics and results
* A broad understanding of common enterprise applications, especially in the areas of security and finance
* Strong business and technical acumen is a must
* Able to quickly understand and interpret customer problems and navigate complex organizations.
* Effective at communicating clearly across technical and business audiences
* Experience supporting large scale application or infrastructure deployments and performing integration work through multiple product releases
* Well organized with a healthy sense of urgency, and able to set, communicate, and meet aggressive deadlines and milestones
* Self-motivated and self-educating, yet willing and able to work collaboratively with both customers and fellow Splunkers
* Splunk Certified Architect at a minimum

Qualifications

Desirable Skills and Experience:

* Programming and development skills, including Python, Perl, shell scripting, regular expressions, SQL, and HTML/Javascript
* Experience in successful startups in the areas of systems management, log management, SIEM, security is and CISSP is strongly preferred.
* Splunk Accredited Core Implementation
* Splunk Accredited Implementation Fundamentals
* Splunk Accredited Enterprise Security (ES) Implementation
* Splunk Accredited IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) Foundations
* Strong experience administering and monitoring enterprise operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and Solaris.
* Experiencing deploying and administering server and network virtualization technologies
* MBA preferred

Education: I've Got It!

* Bachelor's degree is required.
* Preferred degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar.
