Deloitte Global currently has an opening for a tenured Business Analyst. This position will be responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced global environment. The successful candidate will manage a variety of tasks ranging from acting as a subject matter expert, generating and capturing requirements, track and managing user stories. This is a manager level role within Deloitte Global without direct reports.

Work you'll do:

The Business Systems Analyst will work independently or with team of developer(s)/technology professionals to solve complex business problems related to the management of complex mastered data aggregated from Deloitte's member firms. You will also analyze change requests/defects and help validate the applications within Global shared products team. This individual will provide guidance for testing related activities such as preparing test plan, test data and any other end to end scenario testing activities including UAT and automation for all products in the Global shared products studio.

* Lead business analysis on application integration with SOA IIB and other IBM products in terms of documenting the scenarios for application functional testing


* Gather requirements and interface with stakeholders and business users in a Global capacity


* Clearly document the epics, user stories, scenarios and test cases and devise a test plan for application and system level functionality


* Work closely with the team to help test the applications with SQL based data testing


* Assist, when necessary, with testing .NET Web based, SQL Database or COTS based applications


* Accountability for system, functional and smoke testing for all global shared products which range from Web apps, Services and Database applications


* Ensure adherence to testing standards and wherever possible help in automating the test scripts to fulfil the application patch testing or complete functionality

To be considered for this role, there are certain qualifications you'll have to have. And others that would be really, really nice.

Required:

* 5+ years of business analysis experience with strong hands-on skills with VSTS or TFS


* In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles including Agile/Scrum methodology


* Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work groups


* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to IT and business leaders


* Solid knowledge in application development life cycle, including requirements definition, system testing / QA and transition to production


* Knowledge of requirements management and/or prototyping.


* 2+ years of Manual and Automation Testing experience


* Basic ability to write SQL queries and analyze data within a relational database


* 10% travel



Education and experience:

* Technology Related degree or equivalent work experience



Preferred:

* CBAP certification


* People management experience including day to day responsibilities and performance management


* Experience in testing Web and Database apps both in On-premise and Cloud hosted environments
