Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consultant, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Dallas, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Create technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, Unified Modelling Language (UML) process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Lead Joint Application Design sessions to finalize scope, requirements, and functional processes to be covered by the system. Drive daily status calls with development teams and provide necessary support to ensure timely delivery. Lead change requests raised by business teams and provide appropriate system changes to incorporate the same. Plan for sprints and drive planning sessions within the team. Lead the effort to create Software Architecture documents detailing solutions, and assume responsibility for maintaining the document over time. Perform detailed analysis of the technology options available for the architecture of the proposed software system, and develop recommendations for the optimal choice based on the context, including the rationale behind the decision. Develop solutions that conform to the approved architecture by working with a development team and using technologies including J2EE.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), CIS, MIS or a related field.


* One year of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation.


* Must have one year of experience with:
* Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications utilizing LoadRunner, JProfiler, Jmeter, and VisualStudio;


* Providing solution development and application architecture using Java Enterprise Edition (JEE), J2EE, and .Net;


* Performing business process analysis, mapping, and design using Attribute Driven Design (ADD);


* Translating system requirements into functional design utilizing Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions;


* Creating screen mock-ups and User Interface (UI) storyboards using Jira, Angular.js/Vue.js and Cloud services, including Amazon Web Services;


* Writing and executing Structured Query Language (SQL) statements for data manipulation during testing, and developing SQL queries for IBM Database 2 (DB2) and Oracle databases in order to generate adhoc reports;


* Utilizing Architecture Trade-Off Analysis Method (ATAM) to analyze and assess the current state of existing enterprise applications and generate reports with recommendations for improvement;


* Utilizing JIRA and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to track application defects, and addressing these defects by coordinating and documenting resolution efforts.




* 80% travel required.
