This position will lead the Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM) and software Release Management roles in the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) organization. CM functions and deliverables are often time critical and highly visible on the Program, a combination of inflexible and shifting deadlines.

This role provides excellent exposure to the Program Management Office (PMO) and engineering processes, as you communicate across interfacing organizations. Your ideas, suggestions and concerns will be welcomed, especially to streamline processes and strengthen CM practices.

This hands-on role requires great attention to detail, very good organization skills and flexibility to pivot between highly visible customer priorities to meet deadlines.

This position requires candidates to have a current TS/SCI clearance.

* Lead a small team of CM, DM and Release Management staff who matrix their support across the program
* Lead CM, DM and Release Management controls and processes across program teams and interfaces
* Manage intellectual control, governance and transition planning for CM, DM and Release Management tools/repositories
* Drive on-time, error-free development, inspection, approval and delivery of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) and delivery letters to varying recipients
* Define, update and extend Program CM, DM and Release Management SOPs and team work instructions
* Co-author the Software Release Management plan, documenting CM controls
* Maintain configuration control throughout all phases of the product life cycle, whether documentation, software, property, etc. Manage and track changes to baselines.
* Schedule, prepare, review, version, publish (deliver) and track CM documents and actions per Program procedures, across classifications and releasabilities
* Segregate and protect Leidos sensitive data
* Interface with the customer, PMO, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) to coordinate changes for on-time delivery
* Support Program configuration control board functions: scheduling meetings; generating agendas, minutes, action item reminders; meeting facilitation and note/action item taking; updating electronic control boards with: actions, assignees, status comments, due dates; following-up with assignees to drive on-time actions
* Coordinate needed software approvals, especially Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)
* Manage GOLD software CM repositories across Windows, RHEL and Solaris architectures, using CM tools (SVN, Git)
* Deliver software: using both physical media and electronic means (e-delivery)
* May perform audits to validate Gold CM configuration records
* May scrub, transform, update, summarize or report data
* May maintain project and block time/outage schedules and release plans
* May perform cross-system data transfers requiring customer training

Basic Qualifications:

* Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
* Experience defining and executing CM processes, control boards and large-scale programs with many baselines across architectures
* Data Management and process documentation experience
* Effective communicator, able to capture action items and status clearly and concisely
* Multitask and manage competing priorities
* Work independently, engaging SMEs when needed, to drive work to closure on-time
* Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, SVN/Git
* Experience with Remedy or ServiceNow is helpful

Education & Experience:

* Requires BS degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience.
* May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
