Job Description

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Configuration Management Coordinator in Burbank, CA.

The Configuration Management Coordinator is responsible to execute configuration control best practices within the group.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Operate in Product Lifecycle Management System (Siemens PLM, TeamCenter Unified Architecture) to manage Product / Project information supporting configuration identification, controls, reports and audits
* Act as Change Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal / external customers
* Participate in review / approve cycles through workflow processes for releases and incorporations of business items / objects
* Participate in internal and external Audits
* Coordinate, manage and oversee Engineering Change processes from inception to completion
* Act as Change or Release Champion for Product Data requiring formal releases
* Act as Change Management SME to review Releases and Change Requests
* Create and build project information in PLM System (Siemens Teamcenter Unified Architecture)
* Create and build Product Data e.g. Parts, Bills of Materials, Design / Engineering Documents, Software Documents, Project Documents, Quality Documents, etc.
* Work with integration tools to create and load BOMs to PLM and integrate with ERP
* Grant Users Access Rights to PLM System
* Enforce all aspects of Export Compliance Regulations
* Provide users with CM tools support and deliver user and team training as necessary
* Help drive the continued expansion of PLM rollout and functionality, identifying areas of focus for improvement, migration of product data, training of new team members
* Maintain /update Change Management Plan and related SOPs
* Participate in team Projects e.g. upgrades to CM tools, updates in CM plans, updates in CM, SOPs, etc.
* Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Non-Essential Functions:

* Maintain/Update Change management EIS/SOPs
* Participate in team projects or support Kaizen efforts.
* Maintain access / filing of historical records
* Operate Scan/File historical records into the PLM System as necessary
* Grant Users Access Rights to PLM System

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

* Five (5) or more years document control experience

Knowledge:

* Expert knowledge of Configuration Control principles
* Proficient in PLM or CM tools usage and administration
* Microsoft Office Tools: Spreadsheets, Word Processing, and Presentations

Skills/Abilities:

* Proficient in PDM/PLM usage and administration
* Ability to handle multiple assignments in an expanding business setting
* Excellent written/verbal communication skills
* A proven problem solver within a teamwork environment

Education/Certification:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Familiar with relevant Crane Aerospace Products

Employment Eligibility Requirement:

* Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. Because we contract with the US Department of Defense we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working Conditions:

* Standard office environment
* Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
* Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
* Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
* Standing: 20% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
* Sitting: 80% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
* Lifting (in pounds): up to 20 pounds
* Pushing (in pounds): up to 20 pounds
* Mental/Visual: use of computer
