Job Description

The Computer Technician for the Semel Institute will assist the Programmer Analyst II with all SEISMIC computer device movement and setup, as well as audio/visual services. In addition, the individual will assist the Programmer Analyst III with IT services to include coordinating technical and functional support for Medical Enterprise users, specialists, vendors, and other Semel IT staff. They will also create and maintain policies/procedures for the tracking of assets.

The Computer Technician for the Semel Institute will assist the Programmer Analyst II with all SEISMIC computer device movement and setup, as well as audio/visual services. In addition, the individual will assist the Programmer Analyst III with IT services to include coordinating technical and functional support for Medical Enterprise users, specialists, vendors, and other Semel IT staff. They will also create and maintain policies/procedures for the tracking of assets.

Qualifications

Knowledge of PC's, Linux, and Macintosh OS and PC, and MAC software such as spreadsheets, statistics packages, utilities, and communications packages. Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature. Skill in coordinating corrective action for computer problems by determining the time and sequence of actions to be taken on the basis of analysis of data. Knowledge of local area network protocols and maintenance preferred.
