Responsible for all daily operational monitoring activities to ensure any anomalies during work shifts are promptly identified and escalated for timely resolution. Functionally responsible for the troubleshooting helpdesk calls, nightly output printing, job run monitoring of LAN, WAN and computer and peripheral equipment, such as printers, tape and disk drives. Also responsible for loading and reconciling backup media rotations and returns by our offsite vendor and any applicable media restoration requests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS
* Required to assist in the development and maintenance of operational documentation and logs * Required to monitor, update and escalate internal support request tickets (Helpdesk) * Prepare daily shift turnover and checklists/logs and requisite documentation * Review/validate/escalate job anomalies * Escalate applicable issues to on-call support staff/vendors * Prepare/reconcile outputs as defined * Prepare daily, weekly and monthly offsite media and retrieval tracking/reconciliations * Monitor daily system performance noting any exceptional conditions * Configure/deploy/maintain/troubleshoot personal computer application and hardware updates as assigned * Unpacking/setup and pc, monitor, keyboard and mouse installation/relocation and other peripheral device installations * Initializes computer with required system software and operates computer system as directed * Monitors computer and network systems using operating systems utilities; interprets console * messages from system software or applications program, and performs required actions * Performs daily backup of systems * Handles input and output media with due care for integrity of data and utility of media for subsequent use * Maintains records required to supplement console log, including problem documentation and actions taken, computer utilization logs, file identification, and similar data * Researches error messages and manipulates console to re-sequence job steps after a job is interrupted * Performs problem reporting and assistance on various system issues * Maintains applicable records including user lists and equipment inventories as applicable

* Must have good time management skills and be able to meet rigid and urgent assignment schedules and be extremely reliable * Strong problem-solving abilities required for troubleshooting. Including PC/laptop connection issues with remote users * Strong organizational and coordination skills * Functional ability in the use of Microsoft Office products (office 365 preferable) * Procedural documentation skills required * Must have keen attention to detail * College Degree or equivalent work experience preferred * Ability to initialize and operate computer hardware and software systems * Ability to utilize computer operating systems utilities * Knowledge of computer systems backup requirements and procedures * Knowledge of computer input and output media * Knowledge of computer job control procedures * Experience with High-speed bulk printers preferred * Experience with remote system patching preferred * Control-M job scheduling platform experience preferred * Functional PC Maintenance skills
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* 40 Hour workweek (potentially rotating schedules, will include nights and weekends) * Required to support unscheduled or urgent events that might extend beyond normal schedule or could be outside of standard scheduled hours (as applicable) * Office environment working with personal computer * Occasional requirements for physical equipment
