EvergreenHealth is looking for a Computer Operator for our Information Technology department located in Kirkland, Washington. Excellent communication; demonstrated problem solving; planning and organizational skills a must. One year computer operator experience required. This is a benefit eligible position.

About this position:

We are looking for an energetic and passionate candidate that is seeking an opportunity to join our IT team at one of the highest rated healthcare systems in the Puget Sound area! As a Computer Operator, you will serve our customers by ensuring that our interfaces, application processes, network and other key systems are monitored. You will also be responsible for maintaining tasks and running reports for many of our application systems. Other duties include incident coordination, sending system communications to healthcare staff, data backup, print queue management, evening/night help desk coverage and many other exciting opportunities!

Job Summary:

Performs many of the day-to-day technology based functions that allow EvergreenHealth staff to access, retrieve and receive information. Supports the daily basic routine operations, report printing and report distribution on the computer server and mainframe systems.

Primary duties:

Consistently provides excellent customer service to all EvergreenHealth staff, using active listening and effective communication skills.

Performs defined tasks per documented instructions/processes, makes appropriate changes to the documentation, as needed, under the guidance of the analyst / 2nd level support.

Monitors and manipulates daily system jobs.

Performs and maintains system tape backups and restores.

Generates reports from batch jobs and distributes to end-users.

Maintains incident logs for all monitored systems.

Continuously monitors and reacts to IT Operations processing schedule.

Responds to incoming telephone calls, e-mail and voice mail inquiries from internal customers (within IT department) regarding computer related problems.

Provides evening and night IT coverage including fielding incoming Help Desk calls during to assist end users in the organization.

Desired Skills and Responsibilities:

Experience working with Windows Operating Systems.

Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite - 2016/Office 365.

Understanding of computer networks (LAN, WAN, and computer networking).

Flexible scheduling including evenings and overnight shifts.

Ability to create and update documentation.

Ability to work alone or with only one other person for an entire shift.

1-2 years of experience in an Information Technology environment.

Help Desk experience is a plus.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

* High School graduate or equivalent
* Demonstrated problem solving, planning and organizational skills

DESIRED for the position:

* College or technical related courses
* 1 year of computing experience
