Your Role

The Computational Designer will develop new computational design methodologies to leverage large set of data and develop design solutions that are dynamic and adaptive across scales ranging from product design to urban planning.

We are looking for computational designers who has passion for how data can enhance the design process and deliver more creative design outcome. Our depth of expertise spans disciplines-from aviation and transportation to education, hospitality, retail, technology and more. Whether we're refreshing a retailer's brand, planning a new urban district or designing a super tall building, we strive to make the everyday places people occupy more inspiring, more resilient and more impactful.

What You Will Do

* Help teams integrate computational design processes in project
* Responsible for researching, developing, documenting and delivering computational methods and design solutions
* Develop computational design tools and libraries for spatial analytics and generative design
* Execute and deliver repeatable analytics and design solutions.
* Ability to design and generate data visualization.
* Consult project teams on design and delivery workflows utilizing multiple digital design technology and platform
* Educate staff to learn computational design software platforms, design process and design management
* Document case studies to demonstrate the value of computational design

Your Qualifications

* Bachelor or master's degree in Architecture and 2 - 5 years of relevant experience as a computational designer in either architecture, engineering or tech field.
* Experience in architectural computational design for environmental analysis, generative design and optimization processes.
* Proficiency with Rhino, Grasshopper, Excel and Adobe Creative Suite, Dynamo and Revit a plus
* Experience with Python, C#, Processing, Java (ie. ReactJS), or Revit API is a plus
* Deep knowledge in available opensource plug-in and other resources, experience in Space Syntax is a plus
* Strong organizational, communication and relationship management skills
* Have strong abilities to connect new technology with the needs of architectural design
* Articulate communicator able to convey concepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals
* An entrepreneurial spirit who embraces change and constantly seeks out new opportunities for creativity and innovation
* Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity
* Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands
* Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and support to project teams
* Punctual, able to adhere to deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.
