DESCRIPTION:

The Sr. Cognos TM1 Lead Analyst will support the architecture and development of analytics solutions leveraging business skills and industry-specific skills in combination with strong functional and technical capabilities in Cognos TM1 to implement multi-dimensional business applications for financial reporting, planning and forecasting. Solution delivery includes all phases of analysis, design, implementation and system support, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of the ultimate solution. Activities include analysis of business requirements, design documentation related TM1 cubes and models dimensional structures, business rules and process flow diagrams. Solutions include deployment and integration of TM1 software and customized integration. A blend of accounting and finance knowledge and TM1 technical skills is required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide primary support to two CBS divisions with their independent TM1 models and be part of a team supporting several divisions and models.


* Provide overall administration of TM1 reporting environment (Actuals/Plan/Consolidation/Reporting).


* Gain a comprehensive knowledge of the Company's product lines, competitive environment, and the market it addresses to better support functional initiatives and provide recommendations to business partners.


* Develop integrated Budgeting and Forecasting Cubes and Templates.


* Drive month-end processes and reporting activities, including expense accruals, validation of consolidated results, headcount reporting, and other requests.


* Configure and optimize TM1 objects and server environments.


* Train system administrators and end-users on TM1 functionality, models, and report development utilizing best practices.


* Identify process improvements in the development and implementation.


* Create and maintain technical administrative documentation.


* Develop complex Turbo Integrator processes for both new and existing functionality.


* Expertise in advanced rule writing with key understanding of feeders.


* Work with IBM on debugging/trouble-shooting incidences and ticket resolution.


* Experience with Cognos TM1 supporting planning efforts within an organization.


* Provide user documentation for the system. Create curriculum and provide classes for user training.


* Interact with all levels of the organization, including senior members of the IT organization as well as senior management within the user community.


* Work with providers of software and hardware products as well as consulting vendor service providers.


* Manage business user relationships with executives and business leadership including status reports and meetings.


* Prioritize and communicate work status.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

* Requires hands-on experience with Cognos TM1 implementation and support activities (Functional/Technical) Proven 5+ plus years hands on developer experience with TM1 in design, development, and architecture and system administration. Knowledge of Controller.


* 7+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting and forecasting.


* Demonstrated experience in the creation of multi-dimensional databases for budgeting and planning systems is required. Must include building multi-dimensional budgeting and planning models.


* Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation and planning processes in a publicly held corporate environment.


* Cognos TM1 Developer and User Certifications, preferred.


* Advanced knowledge of TM1 TI Processes and TM1 Rules.


* Proven experience supporting period and year-end financial close processes.


* Demonstrated track record of defining system improvements that lead to increased efficiency and productivity through the use of technology.


* Detailed knowledge and experience of advanced Excel functionality.


* Strong, clear and concise communication skills and presence.


* 5+ years of experience in a high-caliber consulting company is preferred.



Bachelor's degree, required. CPA is highly preferred.
