We have an exciting opportunity for a CICS COBOL Developer to join our team. This position is to maintain and enhance the Medicare Part B claims processing system, MCS. The project responsibilities focus on creating application enhancements via technical design, coding, unit testing, installation, and documentation updates while also being responsible to resolve defects and/or PROBLEMs. The role involves performing system maintenance in a rigorous, high-maturity environment. Resource will be performing a Mainframe CICS COBOL developer role supporting a one-of-a-kind, 6 million lines of code health care claims system. The developer will code enhancements to the system. Knowledge of mainframe technologies and health care claims processing is key to meeting performance measures dictated by the customer.

Required Experience/Skills:

* COBOL and JCL 10 or more years with recent experience.
* Experience with:

o IBM Mainframe platform

o z/OS operating system

o TSO/ISPF

o VSAM

* Healthcare claims processing system support experience
* Ability to provide technical leadership to less experienced developers on enhancement projects.
* Experience with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
* Candidate must be a US Citizen

Desired Experience/Skills:

* Java experience
