LS Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, results-oriented Cloud Systems Engineer. The incumbent will have experience with cloud technology and the adoption experience. The Cloud Systems Engineer will provide engineering, technical and program office support to the Federal Aviation Administration as they establish a cloud adoption support organization.

* Provide engineering support for National Cloud Integration Services (NCIS), NCIS Sandbox, Program Management Office (PMO) and system owner FCS/cloud and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) integration efforts.
* NCIS Implementation Lead - Responsible for project management and leading the migration of ATO/NAS customer to FCS or other cloud services, including developing cloud migration criteria, conducting NCIS sandbox testing, and coordinating migration of customer applications to NCIS, FCS, EIM and Cloud.
* Cloud Engineering Support - Work with FAA program offices and cloud vendors to ensure FCS and cloud solution delivery meets the requirements of the FAA. Provide support to the Business Management team as needed as part of the AMS process. Ensure successful deployment of FCS and EIM solutions into the production environment.
* EIM Engineering Support - Work with the EIM program stakeholders to gather future system requirements and incorporate updates into the System CONOPS, design & development guides and interface requirements documents. Coordinate with FENS program as needed to support FCS & EIM in FENS efforts. Provide support to the Business Management team as needed as part of the AMS process.
* Provide support for FAA EIM and Information Management strategy, including supporting prototyping efforts, identifying governance needs and conducting requirements analysis as needed to support the AMS process.
* Provides technical leadership and applies comprehensive system engineering principles to support the investigation, analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, testing, and evaluation of NAS equipment and procedures, particularly the integration and safety assessment of the ATC system.
* Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analysis reports, and other technical and safety documentation.
* May analyze, design, develop, implement and test software related to engineering or functional requirements of NAS and associated support systems.
* Drafts system/safety project plans, justifications, guidelines, and controls.
* Recommends development and design changes to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
* Provides expertise in the transition of legacy systems to modernized systems.
* Systems engineers with appropriate expertise will support all aspects of FAA safety management activities involving measures to mitigate hazards or reduce risks to an acceptable level, verification that mitigation measures are incorporated into product design and implementation, and assessment of residual risk and any other safety related activities.

Requirements

* 16+ years experience designing Cloud environments.
* Successful track record or transition and operational implementation of mission critical systems/ capabilities.
* Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs.
* Experience working as a Federal Government contractor- FAA experience preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

* BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology; advanced degree preferred.
* Relevant Industry certification desirable (e.g., AWS, CCNP, MCSE, VCAP/VCDX, IBM CSA).
