Position Overview:

We're looking for a Cloud Architect for our real-time streaming platform to enable remote monitoring of industrial assets. This is an end-to-end cloud IoT platform with ongoing field deployments. Our team is a growing hardware/software innovations group. We combine deep engineering knowledge with the best of software engineering and data science to tackle reliability and condition-monitoring applications.

Essential Functions:

* Build a scalable, secure, highly-available, multi-tenant Web application in the cloud for production environment
* Participate in design and automation of cloud deployment architecture and CICD process for microservices applications technology stack
* Champion security by design
* Work closely with scrum software development teams to actively identify & resolve quality issues throughout development
* Architect and develop complex end-to-end solutions for a real-time streaming IIoT platform
* Investigate new technologies to meet performance requirements; perform feasibility studies; design and implement prototypes for early / usability testing

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Proven ability to build a scalable, secure, highly-available, multi-tenant Web application in the cloud (5+ years experience)
* In-depth knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience in AWS provisioning
* 5+ years of experience and knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Git
* 5+ years of experience in development of network and system management solutions
* 3+ years of experience with deployment automation - CI/CD pipelines
* Previous experience in application performance optimization, tuning, and/or triaging performance problems in Web and Mobile applications
* Experience with event-driven architectures and RESTful API design
* Strong understanding of Cloud-based application deployment architectures

Preferred Qualifications:

* Front-end and back-end design, development, automation, and testing
* Familiar with data structures, schemas, and infrastructure
* Experience with Jenkins or Maven, Git/version control, NoSQL databases (mongoDB)

Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment
* Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
* Ability to demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills to successfully build and maintain relationships with designers, engineers, and data scientists
