This is a 100% Remote Position

Job Summary

As a key, top-level contributor, the Cloud Architect will design, document and facilitate the build and configuration of complex, global infrastructure initiatives using a range of public cloud (IaaS/PaaS) technologies. In this high visibility role, as part of the global Enterprise Architecture team, you will be on the leading edge of helping to define and execute our cloud technology strategy, governance and policy. The Cloud Architect must also be able to successfully partner with Project Management, internal & external customers and vendors to define, clarify and document objectives, requirements and success factors for a given initiative. Using their broad technical knowledge across multiple technology areas they then must be able to work effectively with the experts from other discipline areas to design, document and deliver solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

* Working with key business functions to develop and drive the overall public cloud adoption strategy.


* Lead the review, creation and delivery of a modern governance framework for public cloud usage.


* Establishing repeatable processes and templates for deploying enterprise applications/services while maintaining organizational control over those applications in a public cloud environment.


* Guiding transformation of our public cloud by establishing requirements for workload owners incorporating guardrails for security, data protection, disaster recovery, shared services, continuous monitoring, connectivity, authentication, and auditing the deployments of workload owners to ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.


* Partner with Subject-Matter-Experts (SMEs) throughout the global technology team to architect complete, detailed solutions to complex problems.


* Act as technical lead, in partnership with project management functions, on the delivery of public cloud technology solutions.


* Participate in the analysis, design and implementation of methodologies, practices, policies and standards to continually enhance business process and the delivery of IT services.


* Provide insight and consultancy to customers & peers and to aid decision makers in the strategic direction of the organization



Requirements

* Track record of working with a range of public cloud service providers and implementing innovative solutions to transform adoption and usage.


* 8+ years technical experience across multiple IT infrastructure technologies


* Current AWS architect certifications.


* Demonstrable experience of successfully operating within large global virtual organizations.


* Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentation to all stakeholder types


* Ability to apply a working knowledge of Project Management methodologies


* Knowledgeable and up-to-date on enterprise technologies, best practices, travel industry technologies and security policies & procedures.



Preferred

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience


* Experienced in mergers/acquisitions/divestitures from a technology perspective


* Associated technical/professional certifications (e.g. MS Azure)


* Exposure to Project Management methodologies


* Familiarity with ISO and PCI Standards
