Job Summary

We are currently seeking a cloud architect to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be designing cloud based smart IoT solutions on Azure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and work with other specialists across the company in solving the complex problems using cutting edge technologies to push the company forward.

Duties and responsibilities

* Analyse product requirements in order to architect and design optimal, robust, reliable, scalable and secure cloud native solutions
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the technical team, drive architecture trade-offs decision
* Coordinate with stakeholders (Product Owner, Scrum master, Quality and DevOps teams) to ensure successful execution of the project
* Create required technical documents
* Contribute to development when and if needed
* Instill best practices for software delivery and documentation
* Challenge and advocate for the right outcomes with data, conviction and diplomacy
* Support and influence the team culture of being customer centric and continuously improving

Qualifications

* 5 years of proven work experience as a Software Architect. Minimum 2 years of experience working on cloud native architecture with AWS and Azure services
* Bachelors Engineering degree in Computer Science
* Hand-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
* Experience with Azure services - IoTHub, Event Hub, API gateway, SQL and NOSQL Databases
* Experience with Analytic Frameworks like Spark is a plus
* Should be hands-on and comfortable with writing code and scripts
* Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
* Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
* Excellent knowledge of SQL and No SQL databases
* Ability to document requirements and specifications
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
* AWS and/or Azure certification is a plus
* Excellent communication skills, Attention to detail, team-player mindset, positive attitude are key to thrive in this role
