Job Description

STC supports The National Centers for Environmental Information,

Maryland (NCEI-MD) and is seeking to fill a technical position to

assist the Center with its efforts to integrate the Comprehensive

Large Array-data Stewardship System (CLASS) into its operations.

NCEI-MD operates the world's largest archive of ocean data and

information and is in the processing of integrating CLASS capabilities

into the existing NCEI Archive Management System, thereby expanding

its ability to handle large volume data sets and leverage the

enterprise tools and services being provided by CLASS. This position

will assist with technical integration, requirements planning,

acceptance testing, and all aspects of the NCEI-CLASS connection.

Skills and Experience Desired:

Experience with requirements planning and acceptance testing, moving

and validating data between systems, asynchronous programming and

development of robust software, including error handling.

BS in computer science or related discipline plus 2-5 years experience

required. Advanced degree preferred.
