Job Description

MTM Technologies has a contract opportunity for a Citrix Administrator to provide Level I-III support in a global environment. Normal responsibilities will include daily monitoring, support, maintenance and security of global Citrix VDI environments. The Administrator will also assist teams with VMware and related infrastructure support. In addition to daily support, the duties will include project support & deployments, operations support, training and application publishing.

Status: Contract

Duration: 6-12 months

Location: Chicago, IL (This is not a remote role)

Schedule: Day shift w/ one weekend day - Must be able to work on Sat or Sun.

Responsibilities:

Management/support, deployment, upgrade, configuration, publishing and training of various technologies including:

* Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.6 LTSR or higher
* NetScaler
* Storefront
* Delivery Controllers and associated components
* Citrix related GPOs
* workloads using VMware technologies
* VDI infrastructure

Automate provisioning, deployment and configuration of virtual desktop infrastructure.

Improve VDI infrastructure and processes for higher levels of availability and scalability.

Work with various teams to develop solutions.

Meet security standards for deployments.

Provide support to user community and stakeholders. Communicate effectively with support teams and user community.

Qualifications:

3-5 years' experience with:

* Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp 7.6 VDI in large scale environment of 1000+ desktops
* VMware vSphere 6.0 or higher
* Citrix suite of products, such as provisioning server, desktop delivery control, virtual desktop images/target devices
* Desktop experience
* Development of standard operating procedures for VDI environments
* NetScaler expertise with Access Gateway
* Powershell
* Configuration management and automation tools (Chef, SCCM etc).
* Expert knowledge of PVS, UPM, WEM and App layering
* Storage experience
* Knowledge of service-oriented architectures and deployment
* Knowledge of best practices and IT operations meeting high-availability and security standards
* Network monitoring tools such as Splunk, vROPs, Citrix Director, Citrix MAS, Solarwinds
