Job Description

A Chief Systems Engineer job in Florham Park, NJ is currently available through Belcan with one of our premiere Defense Industry clients. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical leadership in the development and integration of high-performance network communications systems. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineer, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, a related specialized area or field, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. A current active Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at the time of hire.

Chief Systems Engineer Job duties:

Serve as the lead authority supporting program execution, strategy development, product development and business development.

Communicate with the government customer on a regular basis, ensuring satisfaction is maximized.

Support the development of future technological growth with the customer, and identify Inter Research and Development (IRaD) opportunities to better support the customer.

Select materials for component parts and medical devices.

Be a major contributor to the achievement of business objectives.

Qualifications:

Network Management of High Speed Backbone and Wide Area Networks (quality of service, fault monitoring, NMS network management systems, EMS element management systems).

Telecommunications systems signal processing, including SONET/SDH and OTN System Architecture Design. Multiplexing of voice, video and data applications, IP routers & switches, SONET/SDH, OTN Digital Wrapper and VoIP.

Has provisioned, operated, orin some fashion-- worked with some or all of the following: TDM ADMs, MSPPs, IP routers and switches.

Familiar with SONET/SDH, GFP, OTN, OCH at rates up to 200 Gbps, including advanced coherent optical modulation formats and protocols.
