Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Chief Architect to join us in Boston, MA. In this role, you will lead initiatives to connect Red Hat's customers, partners, field sales, marketing, and engineering teams, taking on a crucial leadership role for Red Hat's North America (NA) Commercial Sales team. You'll need to have vast experience in a similar role and a proven record of thought leadership. This role reports to the Vice President of the Solution Architecture.

Primary job responsibilities

* Serve as the primary field technologist for the general manager of North America Commercial Sales team and other senior leaders on the management team
* Lead and coordinate Red Hat's field chief architect and chief technology strategist efforts both internally and externally, including media, marketing, and speaking efforts
* Build C-level relationships with Red Hat's key customers and partners that show an affinity for Red Hat's offerings, technologies, and solutions
* Coordinate customer feedback and product and technology strategy into and from Red Hat's Products and Technologies (PnT) teams, including the Office of Technology team, the Office of Strategy and Customer Engagement team, and Product Business and Business teams
* Communicate macro customer-centric business drivers and technical initiatives as key inputs for organizational and product planning cycles
* Serve as a mentor for Red Hat's solution architects on the senior technical career development track

Required skills

* 5-10+ years of customer-facing experience in a technical sales or similar role, with a history of demonstrated thought leadership and ongoing C-level customer and partner interactions
* 5-10+ years of experience designing, deploying, and architecting solutions incorporating key areas of Red Hat's portfolio of offerings, including operating system platform, cloud infrastructure management, application development, and storage technologies
* Experience managing senior field architects and technologists
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field is a plus
