Job Overview

Lead change management activities for projects initiated by the Global Strategy and Innovation group and executed by the Enterprise Transformation team within the Information Strategy Division of Komatsu. In this role, the successful candidate will partner with stakeholders through the organization both in the Americas as well as globally, to Plan, Manage and Execute the change management plan, as required, to support successful adoption of new tools, processes and capabilities across Komatsu and their dealer network.

The incumbent will coach, mentor and educate all teams on the Change Management approach to ensure support from leadership as well as strong alignment throughout the broader project teams, including regional leaders, influencers and end users.

Scope

This position will be responsible for leading change management activities for global initiatives that range from $100K to $10M with an initial focus on the service business for the Komatsu America's Dealer network.

Key Job Responsibilities

Lead

* Lead development of change strategy, planning and delivery activities that support large change initiatives, including change sustainability, ensuring alignment of Project and Program activities to corporate and organization strategic direction.
* Serve as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor.
* Establish leadership alignment to build sponsorship for change initiatives.
* Lead & facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions as necessary (e.g., process mapping, focus groups, etc.)

Manage

* Formulate and oversee the overall change management, communications, and process improvement strategies for the Program
* Participate in weekly Program team meetings, PMO leadership meetings, and monthly/quarterly Leadership meetings
* Identify leadership and user alignment gaps, potential risks and issues, and effectively prepare the organization to mitigate risks

Plan

* Develop tactical plans and roadmaps for implementation of strategies
* Partner with impacted stakeholder organizations and Learning Center to develop & deliver training for new processes/procedures
* Partner with key stakeholders to develop and lead organizational change management (OCM) strategies and plans

Execute

* Coordinate, schedule & facilitate meetings pertaining to the Program's change management/communications activities. Track and follow up on actions items
* Deliverables include:
* Stakeholder analyses
* RACI charts
* Communication Plan
* Process Maps (existing, to be end-state) and related Test Plans
* Meeting Materials (e.g., PowerPoint decks & slides)
* Communication collateral (e.g., 5MMs, e-mails, newsletters, etc.)
* Training plans and Playbooks
* Meeting Minutes


* Drive profitable change through end-user adoption of business practices and processes
* Analyze stakeholders and impacts to create strategies to effectively drive user adoption
* Build and leverage change networks throughout the enterprise

Qualifications/Requirements

* Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' experience leading change strategies for large scale, global projects OR at least 12 years' organizational change management experience, holding self and team accountable for delivering meaningful results on time and in budget
* Experience applying change management frameworks to a variety of types of projects, flexing frameworks and tools per project needs
* Experience leading full life-cycle change activities, including vision setting, leadership/change sponsor alignment and engagement, stakeholder analysis, impact identification, readiness assessment, communication strategies, education plans and measurement of adoption
* Experience coaching leadership and project team members to guide them through the change management process, including best practices, trends and lessons learned
* Proven ability to prioritize activities across multiple simultaneous projects to maximize value creation
* Experience delivering training to both internal and external users
* 40-50% travel within the US with some travel globally.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Organization Change Management consulting background is preferred, but not essential
* Prosci experience and/or certification
* Broader based business and client experience
* Experience working with a dealer network implementing programs, systems, processes or similar

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Excellent consultative skills, including strong verbal and written communication as well as influencing skills
* Excellent planning and organizational skills
* Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders, drive consensus and create winning strategies from complex situations
* Ability to partner with all levels of the organization, with a strong executive presence and communication skills
* Ability to manage quality and timelines for small, medium and large projects, and lead teams effectively
* Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
* Typically 10+ years relevant consulting and/or industry and functional experience.
* Experience in leading a change work stream on a large multi-year program that encompasses multiple diverse project teams
* Experience in effectively leading workshops and focus groups
* Ability to effectively tailor communications to intended audiences (i.e., executives, managers, rank & file, etc.)
