Role Summary

Under the supervision of the Development Manager, the candidate will be responsible for facilitating development of multimedia applications (eReader, eMenu, eShopping, etc.), interactives, as well as games for In Flight Entertainment systems. The position requires the developer to work closely with other development and integration team members in an open minded environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyze project specifications and provide suggestions relevant to the project.
* Work on coding of new products, tools, framework or maintenance on existing applications and games.
* Solve problems - alone or in a team - due to technical limitations for certain platforms.
* Capability to work under pressure and effectively meet deadlines.
* Carry out preliminary tests for games and applications.
* Make necessary adjustments following recommendations from the integration team as part of the development cycle.
* Update documentation throughout development.
* Clearly communicating updates and concerns.
* Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the game/application designs to manage upkeep of current software.

Qualifications/Experience

* Minimum of college or university degree in computer science
* Experience in major GUI development framework, a strong plus if it is in Qt/QML
* C++ or object-oriented programming experience required for:
* Intermediate: 1 - 5 years.
* Senior: 5+ years.
* Experience with Windows and Linux development
* Knowledge of Visual C++ or GCC, Javascript and Json
* Understanding of Android development life cycle
* Familiarity with agile software tools such as JIRA
* Basic experience in web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP) is an asset.
