Job Description

ECS is seeking an IT / Cyber Project Manager to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

Job Description:

* Consult with project personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations.
* Contribute to our efforts to drive continuous improvement by recommending and collecting various vital metrics on security monitoring and incident response.
* Deliver status reports, briefings, recommendations, and findings to management and executives as required.
* Ensure best practices and processes are implemented to track the progress of services and development of cybersecurity capabilities.
* Maintain relationships with team members to cultivate new growth opportunities towards the improvement of the organization security posture.
* Maintain situational awareness of the cyber activity by reviewing open source reporting for new vulnerabilities, malware, or other threats that have the potential to impact the organization.
* Monitor project performance and execution across its life-cycle.
* Organizes, directs, and manages internal cybersecurity support functions across multiple locations.
* Prioritize incoming requests to minimize risk exposure and ensure the timely completion of critical tasks and the escalation of time-sensitive issues.
* Provide internal coordination with and utilization of internal company support functions to ensure efficient project administration.

Required Skills:

* 5+ years of professional technical expertise in the information security field utilizing a mix of security technologies in an Enterprise environment, Cyber Incident Response activities in an Enterprise environment.
* An understanding of cybersecurity operations processes, procedures, guidelines, best practices, and solutions, including practical experience of MITRE ATT&CK principles
* Strong oral and written communications skills (e.g., technical writing, user guide development, requirements analysis).
* Experience working effectively with both engineering/technical team and product/business team members.
* Understanding on how to read and interpret security incident reports.
* Bachelors Degree Or 5+ years of experience

Candidates for this role have found success through the pursuit of the following certifications:

* CompTIA Security+
* GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
* PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
* (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
* ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Active or previously held Security Clearance preferred

PM and Cyber certifications are *not* required but desired.
