Job Description

ECS is seeking a Asset Management Technician to work in our Washington, DC office.

Job Description:

The Asset Management technician will work in the warehouse/distribution center and handle computer assets and peripherals. Typical duties include receiving, processing and unpacking goods, signing for packages, preparing computer kits for distribution, updating inventory records, counting boxes, and reporting on- and basic troubleshooting of- defective goods.

* Uses and operates manual and electronic documents, files and records (shipping accounts, bar-coding, inventory, monthly inventory reporting, electronic delivery logs, incoming shipments, etc.) to properly document activities, provide materials and reliable resource information.
* Utilizes asset management tools such as bar code scanners to perform inventories.
* Provides outstanding customer service by maintaining attention to detail, completing assigned work in a timely manner, and maintaining an efficient and effective work environment.
* Assists Deskside Services Technicians with deploying assets to end-users.
* Reviews and completes Service Request tickets in the ServiceNow and Remedy ITSM systems
* Prepares orders for pickup for Deskside Services Technicians.
* Updates new equipment asset tags and serial numbers within the eBusiness.
* Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the Asset Management team.
* Maintains the professional appearance of the Asset area by organizing equipment and ensuring the area is debris free.
* Maintains a detailed and accurate log of all items shipped, received, or moved within the area of responsibility.

Required Skills:

* Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 60lbs.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and teamwork required

Desired Skills:

* General computer hardware, Windows 10 and Office 2016 knowledge required.
* CompTIA A+ not required, but desirable
