Position Summary

In Document Bank of America's Document Management and Record Services Capture team, we are providing solutions to enable Digital transformation for the business. We are looking for a Senior Captiva developer who has extensive experience in building solution to Capture , Index and OCR Documents from various channels into Content Management Repository . You will also influence the overall architectural design, development including vendor software selection and Devops integration

Job Description

The person in this position designs, develops, documents, tests, implements, and debugs new and existing software solutions using primarily .NET and Captiva technologies . Serves as technical expert on development projects. Participates in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements. Supports, maintains, and documents software functionality. Identifies and evaluates new technologies for implementation. Analyzes components to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Analyzes user needs, system requirements and business processes to determine technical requirements. Consults with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug components to meet needs. Responsibilities .Actively participate in scrum ceremonies - planning, estimation, demos, retrospectives. Collaborate with other team members and architects to ensure solutions are built using best practices.

* Required Skills
* Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science/ related discipline
* 7+ years of design and hands on development experience in .NET technologies using Visual Studio.
* 3+ recent years of experience in OpenText Captiva to build workflows to capture and classify/index documents using Barcodes, OCR, and related technologies.
* 3+ recent years of experience in OCR tools like Nuance, ABBYY or Tessaract to convert images into text, correct OCR issues, and extract data from documents.
* 2+ recent years of experience in Oracle RDBMS Database.
* Solid experience in Logging, Caching, Transaction Management, Multi-Threading/Concurrency, Performance Tuning, and Monitoring aspects of the applications.
* Solid design documentation skills using UML and integration using .NET technologies.
* Understanding and usage of DevOps processes for the build and deployment.
* Good understanding of the document management standards, processes and technologies
* Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent communication skills and team work

Desired Skills

* Knowledge of banking industry products and processes
* Experience building and consuming REST API
* Familiarity with machine learning principles
* Python experience preferred
