Position Description:

CGI is looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer/Developer to join our Department of State (DoS) team. As a member of the team, you will assist with the development of new enhancements to the Momentum Financials and Acquisitions software suite, apply DoS specific customizations, patch and fix code defects.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

* Systems Design - Analysis of a system's requirements to create a general or detailed design, system components, and a working model.
* Systems/Applications Development - Conversion of information from design specifications to programming code. Write specific programs by analyzing workflow charts and diagrams and applying knowledge of computer capabilities to satisfy system requirements.
* Managing client expectations and supporting inter-organization communications.
* Providing thought leadership on potential solution, long-term strategy, and continual process improvement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

* Bachelor's Degree in a Technical major including, Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, etc.
* Experience with C++ development.
* Experience with Oracle DB and SQL.
* Experience with versioning software (i.e. GIT, SVN).
* Experience following and contributing to CMMI level 3 certification.
* Experience in Waterfall SDLC.
* Excellent analytical skills (including Object Oriented analysis and design).
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong client and team relationship skills: Comfortable speaking with clients and stakeholders, drawing conclusions and conveying professionally and concisely. Proactively identify and communicate schedule, risks, dependencies, etc.
* Experience working with CGI's Momentum Financials and Acquisitions software is desired.
