About the team

In this exciting opportunity you will be an integral part of a team passionate about cutting edge technologies. While working in an Agile/Scrum methodology environment, your expertise will be valued and your voice will be heard through much collaboration as you design and implement software programs relating to financial applications for hedge funds. Responsibilities include architecting innovative/creative solutions, and translating business requirements to technical specifications. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and be able to fulfil duties with minimal supervision under strict time parameters.

What you will be doing:

* Comply software quality requirements during release & feature planning


* Participate in Scrum planning with the product team


* Contribute towards application/feature design for development teams as needed


* Adhere to code review standards and processes for all programming/database languages


* Ensure software quality requirements are met via code reviews, testing, benchmarks, etc…


* Develop critical system components, API's, or features


* Conduct R&D, implement proof-of-concepts for greenfield and experimental development


* Assist with choosing development tools, frameworks, languages


* Create and maintain architecture documents for internal and external needs


* Ready to collaborate with sales team on any initiatives that require technical presentation



Position Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* 4+ years of professional experience programming in C#
* Development experience in WCF, Web Services, XML, LINQ, SOAP, REST
* Development experience in Enterprise Databases - SQLServer(Preferred)
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Added Bonus if you have:

* Strong Object Oriented Design skills, exposure to design patterns, HTML5, Angular JS
* Experience with n-Tier Enterprise Architectures (SOA's)
* Financial domain exposure
* Exposure to Agile/Scrum software development methodology
