Job Title: Business Systems Analyst - Digital (Web & Mobile App)

Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst - IT (Web & Mobile App) manages and supports web and mobile application technologies, serves on a scrum team and manages ad-hoc projects. The role serves as a liaison between internal business stakeholders, the development team and external partners/agencies. The Analyst is an essential part of the on-going successful operations of the systems that run all customer-facing technologies.
Essential Functions
Support the Digital department with use of integrated website applications and tools
Liaise with business departments to analyze and define requirements/user stories, design specifications, test cases, and test scripts for development resources
Manage daily operational tasks and execute support processes or functions in accordance with department SLAs
Test and implement new application components, such as reports, batch processes, data extract programs, data import programs, and general enhancements for institute-wide web applications
Comprehend industry best practices and standards for web architecture, search engine optimization (SEO), web analytics, and content management systems (CMS)
Manage major and minor project implementation or execution to support cross-departmental initiatives, strategies, or plans
Execute system administration and configuration tasks to support various departments
Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-based articles to document new projects/programs, daily operations, or commonly faced issues
Facilitate new software acquisition processes by liaising between the vendor, business departments, legal and information security teams to compile contractual agreements
Understand tasks, goals and needs of the target audience and translate them into creative concepts
Assist test teams in quality assurance reviews to ensure that all the business requirements have been satisfied
Perform other duties as assigned
Required
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Scrum Framework for Project Planning & Release Management
Project management experience in a digital space, mobile preferred
Previous experience with Customer Service management solutions
Working knowledge of Business-to-Consumer (B2C) best practices, preferably in the retail industry
Ability to understand complex systems and related data to surface actionable insights, demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills
Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering and user acceptance testing
Creativity and problem-solving skills to work around obstacles and solve problems with minimal direction
Ability to identify areas for process improvement and recommend/implement solutions
Strong organizational/time management skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines within defined timeframes
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well independently and under pressure
High level of diplomacy and professionalism to work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook, OneNote and others)
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
Bachelor's Degree
2 - 4 years successful track record as a Business Analyst or similar experience
Technical experience with the Mobile Application / Website Development preferably in the retail environment
Experience participating in successful projects with cross-functional teams
Experience with software testing and Quality As
Experience with iterative development and collaboration systems (Atlassian - JIRA & Confluence)
Experience in the technical administration and operationalization of enterprise systems
Physical Job Requirements
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time
The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) less than 15 lbs.
This position operates machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists (ex: typing) all of the time
This position requires the ability to spend all of the time viewing computer monitor
The person in this position must be able to identify and distinguish between colors more than half the time
Travel Requirements
This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 25% of the time
Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
