Job Summary:

The Registrar Business Systems Analyst is the local expert on systems used and supported by the Registrar's Office. This position performs functional and security analysis and configuration of multiple systems, acts as the liaison to the technical support teams, and serves on implementation teams for future systems. The position supports the systems' administrative and self-service users with training, reporting, and troubleshooting, and performs tasks integral to the central use of the systems.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Prepares and maintains implementation plans, gathers requirements, manages project issues, ensures tasks are completed within the required timeframe, evaluates new software, schedules and directs meetings as required.
* Sets up, maintains and manages functional implementations or upgrades designs and documents business processes.
* Works with technical team members and vendors to maintain and troubleshoot interfaces between enterprise and Registrar's Office systems.
* Writes test scripts for each function of the systems and ensures that all are tested before changes are implemented or upgrades are complete.
* Maintains appropriate security access for all users and monitors use to ensure compliance with policies and high data quality.
* Serves as the reporting and data expert for the systems creating custom reports within the systems as required and supplying and analyzing data.
* Provides ongoing support to users with training, regular communication, documentation, and functional troubleshooting support.
* Assigns classes to classrooms each term, assists staff responsible for non-academic scheduling.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* A bachelor's degree and two years of experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills and abilities may be acquired.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)

* Experience with a scheduling system in a university or college.
* Experience with system implementation.
* Experience with web services and XML reporting tools.
* Experience with 25Live or similar space scheduling system.
* Experience leading system implementation initiatives.
* Experience with class scheduling.
* Experience with PeopleSoft Query tool or similar.
* Ability to prepare business requirement and training documents.
