We are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team supporting DHS in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

* Assist in the client's data acquisition process and resolve data integrity issues
* Evaluate and execute extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
* Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis within large datasets
* Build product configurations for business rules, workflow, and data mapping using internal tools.
* Participate in regular status calls and meetings with clients and internal staff
* Create and maintain documentation related to project implementation and transition phases
* Understand business needs and processes from Component data providers and users
* Understand system designs which hold and process Component and office data sets
* Experience identifying and documenting usability issues including troubleshooting solutions
* Experience with data and information exchange models
* Knowledge of XML structure, XML parsers, SQL and Perl
* Work with Developers and Subject Matter Experts to understand the work effort for requirements and identify risks and dependencies

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field or equivalent experience required
* At least 7 years of experience implementing and/or configuring software solutions preferred
* Experience with other programing languages and software tools a plus
* Knowledge of relational databases required, SQL/Oracle preferred
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills required
* Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and solution-orientation required
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
* Knowledge of Hadoop, Accumulo, SFTP, IBM WebSphere MQ, REST, Flume, Spark, Cloudera, NiFi, XACML, ABAC, Pentaho, R, Python
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* A plus: an active DHS Headquarters clearance
