SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Manager position is responsible for developing processes, staff, and tools to analyze data and provide actionable predictive information to empower Credit Union management make informed business decisions and identify emerging trends.

They will organize and present data with an understanding of the business environment, business processes, and the insights that the business needs.

This role will design, build and manage all data and processes necessary to support operational analytics; simplify and advance the current reporting platform; provide data capabilities; and, continuously identify processes to automate/eliminate by applying business process improvements wherever possible.

The Business Intelligence Manager evaluates credit union's data, as well as competitor and industry data, to discover ways to improve their market position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure team delivers service to both internal and external members that is in alignment with the credit union's Service Promises.

* Manages the overall planning, development, and implementation of reporting and analytics programs, products and services.
* Provides Senior and Executive Leadership team with information to make decisions (both strategic & tactical) related to operations, capabilities and strategic roadmap.
* Provide statistical and analytical support to key stakeholders, managers, and executives by creating institutional and ad-hoc reports
* Provides timely preparation, interpretation and analysis of data analytics and make recommendations to capture opportunities based on the results.
* Analyzes, interprets, recommends and presents strategic actionable insights.
* Identify analytical models and techniques for the Credit Union to standardize data collection
* Recommend improvements to existing business analysis and interpretation of data by business users
* Performs in-depth analysis of trends to enable the organization to diagnose and respond to the changing competitive landscape.
* Identifies and manages outside vendor relationships where appropriate.
* Collaborates closely with other Information Technology and Security functional groups to ensure alignment of data management and security best practices.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages Project Team, as applicable. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Project Team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; assessing skills; coaching and disciplining employees; timely addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in information systems, computer science, data science, business administration or a related field that provides insight into business processes and organizational operations. Must have knowledge and understanding in data architecture, database design, data mining, data visualization.

Minimum 7 years of experience as BI/Data Analyst required, preferably in a financial organization

Advanced SQL and Oracle skills are required.

High degree of proficiency utilizing all Microsoft Office products

Must also possess strong communication and presentation skills with critical thinking skills and superior problem resolution.

Advanced degree in Information Technology or Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
