We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer with strong analytical, communication and project management skills to join our team. This role will be a key member of a Science and Data technology team based in Seattle, WA. Working closely with business stakeholders, engineers and scientist colleagues, you will design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for never-before-solved problems, helping Amazon Device to provide customer great products. You will help identify and solve complex business problems, improve DS2 systems and business processes, develop metrics and reports to measure our impact on Amazon's business, use data analytics to identify pattern and drivers, report actionable insights to guide strategic decisions and roadmap prioritization. In a typical day, you will work closely with machine-learning scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and various business groups.
You are an individual with outstanding analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, good business understanding, and technically savvy. The successful candidate will be an analytical problem solver who enjoys diving into data, is excited about investigations and algorithms, can multi-task, and can credibly interface between technical teams and business stakeholders.
The key responsibility for this role include:
* Build metrics, reports and dashboard to analyze key inputs to the DS2 system and key outputs, and impact on downstream business metrics. * Analyze metrics to uncover trends, detect anomalies, and find root causes. Deliver actionable insights to guide teams where to invest * Work closely with business groups, engineers and scientists to define new features or new products that improves customer experience with a quantitative measurement * Utilizing Amazon systems and tools to effectively work with terabytes of data.
