Job Overview

Responsible for providing data managment across clinical, operational, and financial departments with timely and accurate information essential to effective management of the organization.

Responsibilities

Employe a range of ETL (extract, transform and load) tools and data integration processes to move data from a wide range of source systems into the enterprise data warehouse. Design and develop business reporting tools and dashboard solutions by applying information and data presentation architectures using business intelligence and operational reporting tools. Develop design specifications, unit test plans, and troubleshoot issues for ETL and information delivery processes. Maintain documentation of the Business Intelligence solutions deployed. Communicate with business users to deliver information that effectively supports business needs in an efficient manner for both delivery and consumption. Provides data in ad hoc and standard, drillable form for the expeditious identification and resolution of trends and issues. Provide production support of the Data Warehouse nightly batch stream; ensuring data consistency, accuracy of loaded information, effective performance and reliable execution. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Special Projects Build and manage ETL/data integration processes for effective and accurate movement of data into and out of data warehouses and data marts; expand data warehouse structures to accomodate new sources of data.

Qualifications

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR two to three years previous IT experience, preferably in Healthcare with domain knowledge of clinical operations as well as accounting, financial, supply chain, and marketing processes highly preferred. Knowledge of industry standard RDBMS functionality with DBA level expertise in MS-SQL or Oracle including how the capabilities of these DBMS are employed to implement a data warehouse. Knowledge of Integration, reporting, OLAP, and executive dasboard tools including Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Crystal Reports, SAP Business objects and job scheduling software. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
