Overview

Mimecast are seeking an experienced B.I. Developer with deep level subject matter expertise across the board, and proven ability to deliver on high priority work items in a fast paced and changing business environment.

Outstanding technical skills should be paired with excellent communications skills as the role involves working closely with business partners in Finance, Operations, Sales and Marketing.

You will be working as part of a dynamic team, delivering best-in-class B.I. capabilities using the Microsoft B.I. stack. Our focus is primarily on delivering and supporting a scalable, performant and robust data warehouse that is utilised by our Analytics teams. As such the main skills focus is SQL Server, SSIS and SSAS.

Responsibilities

Develop and support Business Intelligence solutions to agreed specifications and timescales.

Automate processes and develop efficiencies.

Cleanse, manipulate/transform and format large datasets to enable data quality improvements.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.

Support end to end maintenance requests on existing data sources .

Ensure data availability and uptime of the BI apparatus.

Be available to help in any area of the team where the successful person's skillset fits.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years' experience working with the Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS and SSAS).

SQL Server 2012 or later.

Experience developing complex SQL queries, MDX, and stored procedures required.

Experience of query performance optimisation.

Experience of building Analysis Services cubes.

Understanding of dimensional modelling. Kimball preferred.

Strong problem solving, exceptional numeracy, analytical rigor and attention to detail.

Strong organisational skills.

A willingness to follow the teams' documentation procedures and contribute to creating and maintaining technical and support documents.
