Job Description

The Senior BI Developer will be an integral member of the Data Services Management Team. This is a hands-on role which will be responsible for design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge sophisticated reporting and analytics solution, data integration and data warehouse. An ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP Business Objects Suite of products, reporting and analytical architectures, scorecard and dashboard capabilities, data integration, data warehouse and data modeling concepts.

The position will be highly involved in the development of a strong Business Objects foundation within Data Services. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, implement, and support mission-critical Business Intelligence (BI) reports/dashboards. Additionally, the candidate will provide support to BO administration team, architectural roadmap, producing architectural/solution artifacts and provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members. This position requires strong collaboration with business teams, analytical reporting teams, solution leads, data modelers, analysts, and other developers to understand business requirements and provide appropriate analytical solutions in alignment with solution implementation architecture.

* 10 years of proven hands-on experience in business intelligence (OLAP and OLTP).
* 8 years of hands-on experience with SAP Business Objects suite of tools including Universe Design, WEBI, Information Design Tool, Xcelsius and Lumira.
* 5 years of hands-on experience in writing efficient advanced and analytical SQL, including stored procedures and Unix shell scripts.
* 5 years of experience in at least one relational data source such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server and Data warehouse MPP applications such Netezza, Teradata etc.

Additional Experience:

* Highly experienced with full Business Intelligence lifecycle.
* Hands-on expertise in at least one of the ETL tools like Informatica, Data Stage etc.
* Experience developing dashboard with Tableau Desktop and Server.
* Hands-on experience with source version control and continuous integration and delivery tools and methodology.
* Develop and implement Enterprise Business Objects Business Intelligence (BI) application architecture, security plans and processes.
* Develop best practices, guidelines, procedures and repeatable processes.
* Ability to coordinate issue resolution activities across multiple IT and Business entities.
* Experience with multiple software development lifecycles, e.g. Agile/SCRUM, iterative, waterfall.
* Experience with release/change management, continuous integration and deployment frameworks such Jenkins, Maven etc.
* Working knowledge of the Health Care/Insurance Industry systems and business operations a strong plus.
* Must be able to think and perform independently with a minimum of direction or supervision and to adapt quickly to shifting and /or competing priorities.

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related disciplines.
